First, the one I am uploading tonight is a song I love by El Anfibio, from Myspace. This song was exclusive to Myspace only until I convinced the artist to let me make a live music video for the song to be posted on youtube, and he agreed :)

Another Exclusive, by Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Prisoners is a music video that needs some polishing but was a quick & dirty edit to get the song out there, before I'd learned HOW to make them. I do not necessarily agree with the slogans in the video, I tried to show a balanced view from both sides. I didn't remix the music on this one, and it shows in the double start beginning, but the song is worth every little nit-picky thing I don't like in my work on this one.

An old bluesy number by Harry Belafonte, Dark as a Dungeon, where I remixed some added storm bits to the intro & end to match the original recording, which was created in a basement studio during a thunder storm & they decided to leave the sound in the finished record--and record is the term as this is obviously recorded from vinyl, that warmth (and needle noise) is unmistakable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrUuzaX94DU

Here's an entry I made for a Promo Contest on Vampirefreaks.com, still haven't heard who the winners are though the contest ended on 1-30-12. Music had to be from the VF site bands, and use certain phrases, if you are on VF, I'm there as awolgina :)

Will Playmore Band 12-2-11

On Dec. 2, 2011 the Willie Playmore Band played at Panther Mountain Inn, Chestertown, NY 12817. From 9p-1a, the energy was fantastic. Guitar players actually walked out onto the dance floor & played while dancing with the audience. I hadn't seen a guitar player do that since the Festival Express video of Buddy Guy using a long guitar lead to play among the crowd.

On this night they also had a keyboard player who had not been present during my 1st taping of them back on 10-21-11, as well as new LED lights that despite being used in 5 previous shows, were still being learned & experimented with. The crowd was wild this night, many women up from Troy area were especially vocal & expressive, as you can no doubt hear on several of the videos. So many people were crowding the dance floor that filming became a real challenge, twisting this way & that to avoid being run over. On this night it was truly dancing room only.

The following videos can be played full screen, 720p HD. They are only formatted smaller here to fit within the blog screen. Only a few samples are shown here, please go to the youtube channel for all of the live videos at: http://www.youtube.com/user/gmj2012/videos

WPM performed an original song called Willie Got Lost, embedded below:

Another great song is Bad Company's Can't Get Enough of Your Love:

One of my old faves by the Rolling Stones, Honky Tonk Woman, was played by request for those Troy, NY women who were extremely vociferous in their requests, lol.

One major problem not mentioned is the bad edits, over 30 before I lost count of the black screen cuts between every single skit whether he changed places, positions or even stories, blank screen cuts ruined it repeatedly, worse the angle didn't change so why it cut in between??? The humor is intelligent BUT it's also as if he thinks he's too smart for the audience, or anyone, and he is all over the place topic & skit wise, about 75% music. I would not watch this again nor do *I recommend it because there are much funnier acts to spend the time & money to see. Maybe someday he will polish his act a bit, get some humility, be worth the time and money, but he's not there yet unfortunately.
